On Wednesday January 28 the Dallas City Council will vote on whether or not to discontinue water fluoridation. After heavy lobbying from local activists the City Council will take up the controversial issue and decide whether or not to resign their contract. In early December Mayor Mike Rawlings delayed a vote at the request of Councilman Sheffie Kadane. Kadane has been a vocal opponent of water fluoridation, stating that the city can save a million dollars by voting no.
